Video is the killer app
We at Hemisphere have been convinced of the powers of video over internet for some time now, but we still enjoyed listening to the CEO of Cisco, John Chambers, come right out and say that video is the killer app.
He makes some compelling points, not the least highlighting a product launch that Cisco did entirely by video that was TEN TIMES more effective than their previous traditional product launches.
He also points out how video is making geographical distances irrelevant when it comes to working together. That's another thing we're very familiar with here at our headquarters in New Zealand!
Cisco suggests that video over the internet is "the future of how will we live, learn, work and play". We're inclined to agree.
