Justin.TV Live Video

A few weeks back, I heard someone on the radio extolling the virtues of a site called Justin TV. Even in its infancy, we can see it's going to be pretty cool. We're excited about the opportunities centralized live video broadcasts hints at.

The strapline of YouTube has always been "Broadcast Yourself" but surely Justin.TV is (or will be) more deserving of that slogan. Live video, from anywhere at any time by anyone? The implications are pretty mind-blowing — not the least for traditional broadcast media. How many more nails can that particular coffin sustain?

Justin.TV is also exposing its API set, which means it could effectively be considered white-label live TV. Here at Hemisphere, we build static video players using thePlatform, the world's best white-label video management and publishing system. If Justin.TV's API set ends up even half as good as thePlatform's, then the future of live video will be very bright indeed.
