Our international web development capabilities

Hemisphere is located in Auckland, which is the largest city in New Zealand. Geographically, we might be a long way from where you are, but when you engage our services, you'll find that we're more accessible than most firms in your own city.

Our entire business (and indeed, our brand) is geared towards the servicing of international clients. We've encountered and overcome the inherent challenges — we've been doing it in one form or another since the year 2000 — and we've got proven processes in place to mitigate them.

Our claims are neither hyperbole nor exaggeration. We have worked and continue to work with some of the best-known brands and biggest firms in the world, delivering significant projects — not piece-meal development.

The advantages of the New Zealand time zone

New Zealand sits within a single time zone: UTC+12/13 (depending on daylight savings). This means that start of business in New Zealand (8:30am) equates to (for our United States customers) to 3:30pm / 4:30pm Eastern Standard Time or 1:30pm / 2:30pm Pacific Standard Time.

In practice, this means our United States customers are typically in contact with us for several hours before their close of business each day (usually for status meetings or planning the day's work), then arrive the next morning to the results of a day's development that occurs during the Northern American nighttime.

Whilst our personnel are often available outside of our standard business day (particularly for our clients in the United Kingdom, whose day doesn't overlap ours at all) we view the time difference as benefit rather than a disadvantage. The practical implication is that you can work on a project by day, and we work on it by night.

We understand you. You'll understand us.

There is often an unspoken (but undeniable) concern around engaging vendors from foreign countries, usually because of language differences. New Zealand's spoken language is English, and our personnel are all permanent New Zealand residents living in Auckland. We do not use off-shore resource, and the ability to communicate effectively with our clients is the skill we value above all others.
